getting video buttons to work in div layers

New to the list...and in need of help.

We are embedding a WMP in a page using div layers (basically creating our own "skin" for the player) and we are trying to use our own customized start and stop buttons. We have only been able to get the stop button function to work (and only in IE). In Netscape, the script is completely ignored & neither button works. We do NOT want the video to autoplay.

Do you have any suggestions or know of a good resources we could use to get this working?
