The following style does not seem to create a hover link effect when used in Netscape 3,4.0,4.7, however it does in Explorer 5:
<style type="text/css"> <!-- a:hover { color: #FF3333} --> </style> Can someone please help me and say whether this is normal or not? Thanks Psyches [This message has been edited by psyches (edited August 10, 2000).] |

Perfectly normal -- Netscape does not support the hover tag. It is in the CSS 2 spec though, so Netscape 6 and Mozilla will both support it. You could, theoretically, potentially, and with a huge amount of heartache, emulate this behaviour with layers. But that's theory.

Luckily I don't have the time nor patience to test your theory out, I think the Netscape users out there will just have to make do with the regular plain-old non-hover links for the time being. Thanks for your help,
