Is there a way, maybe browserspecific, to access the name of the user browsing my page?

Uh, what user name are you referring to? A unix/NT username, or a HTTP_REFERER type? |

I mean the NT user name, user using NT Explorer. But I think it would be similar with Netscape and Linux.

Yeah, thats not really possible with javascript. It intentionally has no ties into the OS to prevent malicious behavior. However, there may be a way to do it in NT. My boss seems to think there might be, but he says it will be messy. Good luck. Josh |
