I was wondering if anyone could help by posting suggestions for the essential layout for a professional HTML5 page. I just graduated recently, and it doesn't really take standards to get a passing grade in most web development classes, just functionality.
In essence, if I'm developing a professional-standard HTML5 website from scratch, how do I start? What should I include with security, portability, and longevity in mind?
So far, my template is as such:
<meta charset="utf-8" />
<meta name="author" content="" />
<meta name="description" content="" />
<meta name="keywords" content="" />
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="css/stylesheet.css" />
<!-- HEADER DIVS -->
<!-- NAV DIVS -->
<!-- WRAPPER DIVS -->
<!-- ARTICLE TAGS -->
Am I missing anything that would be considered poor technique if not included?
