I have a question about browser emulators? I have Netscape 2, 3, and 4 installed on my system. I also have IE5 as well as IE4 on another system. I use all of these browsers to occasionally test some of my work on.
My question for you is this: Since I can't install IE3 on a same system that has IE4 or IE5, how can I emulate it? Is there an IE3 Emulator available? Or maybe some way to install IE3 on the same system with IE4 or IE5? I also have a Linux machine, is there an IE3 version available for Linux maybe (I'm not holding my breath on this option though)? Any input appreciated. Thanks, Toby |

Maybe you could install IE3 on the computer only running Netscape...?

Sorry, no IE for UNIX.
Why do you want to test your pages in IE3? The best solution is to create a HTML 2.0 compliant page, and a Netscape 3/IE4 page then detect the browser using javascript and noscript. That way your site is viewable to everyone, but you get a chance to use new technologies. Besides, anybody who is using a broswer like this doesn't want a good looking page. Lemming |
