I have a page that uses layers for displaying a menu. The design of the page is such that it has a big table (that has a image buttons for mouse overs and text content all within that table) centered in the middle.

Now the menu is designed to show and hide layers when a user mouses over.I am using relative positioning to allow the menu to appear in the correct position.

The problem is the layers seem to jumble up the table (page is ugly disconfigured) if the layers are placed inside the table.

Is there a way to prevent the layers from damaging the design of the table, cause I cant put the layers outside the table cause this would make them loose their positioning when a window resize is done or the resolution is changed.
