Can't decide if spam or real person.
http://w3schools.com/ is a great resource for learning about the web. They have full tutorials for HTML, HTML5, CSS and Javascript.
The best way to learn is to experience scripting in those languages. My recommendation is to read some of their guide and then try to make a website using the information you learned. Don't shortcut it. The more time you spend using the skills you learn the better you will be at it.

No, not really. It covers lots of topics but does so poorly. Please don't recommend that site on these forums. I recommend you check this out: W3Fools: A W3Schools Intervention

I just watched many Youtube videos where people used it, read some articles, and viewed source code of websites I often visited. Also, I wouldn't use W3Schools to learn, maybe use it loosely as reference as it's the first thing that appears on a google search for html tags or css properties.

We really need to add W3Schools to the filtered words list.

We really need to bring the site out of the 90s as well

Wow. That spammer wrote an article on how to use the marquee element, which is obsolete and causes accessibility issues.

Good idea! Now why didn't I think of that?

I think they're working on that, but it sure is taking a long, long time.

We passed the one year mark a couple months ago. We were promised updated within a month. That was a year ago. Someone (requinix I think) mentioned that SEOChat is doing really well, and since our new overlords are an SEO company, it's probable they bought the entire devShed network JUST for SEOChat and the rest of us can rot.
Or, they've stretched a one-month superficial upgrade into a 2-year rewrite and don't bother sharing their plans since we don't actually work for them.

Purchase a book on HTML and practice it on your computer or laptop, also take online help from several html tutor sites like W3 schools and others. It is an easy language to learn. You can learn it by making notepad file of its code and saving it with your desired name and dot html extension and see running it in any browser by left clicking on it and opening it in chrome, mozilla or IE.

Please don't (a) resurrect threads that have been dead for multiple weeks and (b) recommend w3schools. w3schools is terrible and nobody should ever use it. It's at least 10 years out of date for basic PHP and HTML, and is often outright wrong.

youtube search TheNewBoston or go to thenewboston.org. This guy has a tutorial for almost everything and that's where I learned all the basics. I recently bought HTML & CSS Design and build websites by Jon Duckett. Amazing book! Plus it's very interesting/entertaining to read.

Closing this thread since it's nothing but spammers. I wish I knew what they were all doing to make them congregate in the SAME threads. It's just one thread out of every 200 or so.
