Loading URls into DEVs

Greetings!

Can somebody tell me how (if possible) to load a document (by URL) into a DIV?

Code compatible with both NC and IE would be much appreciated. I tried something like

document.objdevname.load( URL, width )

but Communicator says something like "convertor not defined".
