    Minimum Table width

I have a very simple table with two columns and an input form in each cell. The first column contains a name and has "size" set to 35 characters. The second contains a phone number and has "size" set to 15 characters.

The problem is that the browser is expanding the table to full width of the page so the two input boxes are separated by a huge space.

How do I set the table so that it is the minimum width required to contain the input cells?

    Thanks

Tables are width:auto by default and would not expand to the width of the parent/page. Have you checked your CSS?
