Netscape Not Displaying Table Cell Background Images

Hi folks,

So some versions of netscape seem to have problems displaying the background images set in a table cell:

for example:
<table>
<tr>
<td background="blah.gif">
Hi
</td>
</tr>
</table>

Is I have these two thin column cells of the table that have only a background image set in them. It displays fine on IE, Mozilla, and most versions of Netscape but once and a while it doesn't work.

What happens is those columns on the far left and right don't display their background image, it is just black. But the wierdest thing is if I scroll up and down sometimes it will show some of the background image, but then it disappears again.

The image file i'm using for the background is small, 1x30 or so pixels. then it gets tiled down the column.

If you have any ideas for a fix on this I'd greatlly appreciate it.

Hi,

Check that you aren't setting a bgcolor for for the table tag or for the cell tag. I had this problem in Netscape and it seemed that a background colour was over-riding the background image.
