The onchange event works only when you change the option in the selection box. But when you select that option which is already selected, it does not work.

so what now is happening is when the user selects option 1, (do something - a new window opens up), but when you close the window ,that option in the selection box is still selected and when you choose the same option it should pop that respective window again which it does not.....so i need to change that option to some other option after it has done something.
