I've used the following code to do rollovers on my menu bar:
<a href="home.html" onMouseOver = "document.homeImage.src='homeLitUp.gif'; return true;" onMouseOut = "document.homeImage.src='homeNormal.gif'; return true;"> <img name="homeImage" src="homeNormal.gif"> </a>
The problem with this is that the images that are to swap in and out aren't preloaded initially thus there's a delay while the image loads or no effect at all displayed if the user clicks on the image too quickly. I've tried using the code created by Dreamweaver which preloads the images but it does not work correctly in Netscape.
Any help would be greatly appreaciated.
Thanks in advance,

I'm surprised that the mouseover code generated by Dreamweaver didn't work. I use Dreamweaver every now and then and I haven't come across a problem. However, check out the "Mouseover Machine" Cool Tool on C|Net:
That seems to be pretty much cross-browser, although I have had complaints from people with badly configured old MSIE browsers.
But there are literally thousands of example of image rollovers out there. To browse them and find the perfect script, do a search for:
I did it with Infoseek and got over a thousand results. Plenty reading there for you!
