I believe you simply cannot use that feature w/ the current versions of Netscape. Another fault of browser incompatibility on both company's part. You'll have to live with it until Netscape 6 (which has all ready been through it's final beta version) will be released here very soon. It should support it (I think....). And if not, hopefully you can find another solution. Hope this helps. Sorry I couldn't give you a work around.

If you want the one pixel background color of your choice... Nest your table inside of another table, keep all the table attributes the same, however on the outer table make the bg color the color you want your border to be, also in this outer table add one pixel to the cellpadding. This will display a one pixel border around the inner table. For a larger border up the cellpadding.
eg.

<table width=60 border=0 cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0>
<tr><td>Here is the text to be outlined</tr></td>
</table>

becomes
<table width=60 border=0 cellspacing=0 cellpadding=1 bgcolor=(your border color)>
<tr><td>
<table width=60 border=0 cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0>
<tr><td>Here is the text to be outlined</td></tr>
</table>
</td></tr>
</table>

to yield a one pixel border around the inner table.

Hi thanks, that is a great idea, I could do that at least on the starting page, which need not to be framed.

For the content pages which need a fixed navigation frame I try to to it with a background gif (2 colours, should not take up to much kb).

thx again,
Gerhard
