It seems that in IE the pop up window is always in front but in netscape it often in the back (hidden).
Is there some kind of force? |

Try putting this into the <body> tag of the popup window. onLoad="window.focus()"

Thanks.
Most of my popup windows are just images (gifs) so there is no <body> tag. I guess I could turn them into html pages. |

in netscape 4+, you can put "alwaysRaised=yes" into the openWin function. This might make an unblurable window, which could be a bit annoying in itself, but you could try it.
