First web application: What is the right technology?

I've never wondered from C/C++ and I have a project that I'd like to try. Hoping someone could shove me in the right direction. The application is similar to a calculator. The user will enter into HTML5 form fields and based on that my application needs to perform calculations and return the user a new page displaying the result. Is using Djanga going to overcomplicate things? This will be done in HTML5 so if there is specific feature to look at please consider.

    Thank you,

    Kane

How complicated is the calculator going to be? For 99.999% of calculators, a standard HTML page with some JavaScript to do the calculations will be more then enough.

Well now I feel dumb for over thinking it. Almost finished now using the javascript! I'll delete this topic soon..
