You tried remming those two out and seeing how fast you site is then?

not that 3 seconds is anything major to complain about (depending on your content)

You should contact your web host about this, as it must be a problem with the server.

I looked at your content, and it is all optimized well enough. I mean, you can ALWAYS optimize code more, but that shouldn't be causing such a terrible slow-down.

So, contact your web host. Tell them you are displeased with your server's upload speed.

Oooh....I didn't really look critically at the JavaScript. Let me check again.

So, I did an interesting experiment. I disabled JavaScript in my browser, cleared the cache, and reloaded the site.

It was still slow (about two seconds or so). Most of the wait time was "Waiting for viportals.com...", so I'm still going to say it is the server. There is a lot of content, so maybe you just never noticed it before because you weren't trying to load such big pages.

Let me know what you find out about this! I'm curious as to what will happen.

good idea. ur right. i think it might be a little of the javascript, but there is not TOO much content. if you load miniclips, which has way more content on the home page, it loads way faster. i just access the mysql db for a lot of the info, and i have a some google ads.
