    I just finished doing a photo gallery ( it does not center correctly in IE, it works fine in both browsers(4.0+) but the images are not aligned properly in IE (they are in netscape). I am not sure why but taking out the position:absolute from the style sheet makes it render correctly in IE but this reference is necessary so i can not omit it and maintain the desired look...

    Any help would be appreciated.

    I've faced similar problems with positioning. I think it may have to do with netscape's margins, but things positioned in one browser, don't always look right in the other. Try this.

    Use your favorite code to detect the client's browser, so...

    if (IE)
    } else {

    <img id="thing_to_position" src="some.gif">
    The browser's will love you for positioning things according to their needs...
