2002 Extensions - frontpg.lck - endless frustration

I have been tolerating this for the past several months, and am hoping to God that someone can help me out. I frequently get this error - "Server Error - Can't open the frontpg.lck..." Today I have spent an hour trying to figure whats going on, but got no where. In my add-remove components, under IIS, there is only 2000 extensions. I uninstalled them, and went looking for a an exucutable "file" on the web which would simply install the 2002 extensions. No such bird, or seemingly so, but I found tons of stuff on an "unattended installation, blah, blah, blah." I also found one to go to my windows xp pro cd and look in a folder called sharept or something like that, but it wasn't there. Am I chasing my tail needlessly, can someone give me a definitive means by which to solve this problem, I sure hope so and many thanks would be in order.
Tom

Any Resolution?

I am having the exact same problem as listed above. I'm thinking it's directory permissions.

Exclamation frontpg.lck HELP!!!

I went to http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=264954 and It says stuff about file permissions and all that. I only have Power User permissions so I cant get the Windows Components page. I checked inside the web on my local machine, inside the _vti_pvt folder, and there was not frontpg.lck in there , there was though a service.lck. I need total help.

Im slaving over this!!

Thanks!

Q

PS: I love the smileys!!

You probably can't fix your problem without having admin privileges on the server box.

Yes, you can't use ftp to change permissions on windows servers.
