404 error after upgrading activestate perl
I upgraded from activestate perl 5.6 to 5.8 and now I get a 404 error when I try to run the scripts through CGI. I'm using IIS 6.0 . I'm sorry for asking a question that has probably been asked a 1000 times but I can't seem to find the answere by searching this or any other forums. Thaks in advance for any help! Everything was working fine untill upgrading to 5.8

I managed to help myself after searching was no help. Here's the solution. I'm not sure if the upgrade switched my settings or if 5.8.4 requires different settings than 5.6 but I had to go to web services extenstions in the IIS manager and allow perl CGI extensions. I think I had this disabled under 5.6. Under 5.6 I had the extension .pl5 mapped to the perl interpreter. I hope this helps someone. |
