404 - File not Found Problem!
Help Me Please!
I've been having problems with an installation of Windows XP and IIS 5.1. I want to access any file of my IIS from Internet and any try finish in a "404 - File Not Found" on the browser.
I have a PPPoE Connection to Internet with a dynamic IP and the BuildIn Firewall disabled, and a Local Area Network defined.
I have no problem to access with the Local Area Network IP (inside).
Any suggestion will be welcomed!
Sorry my pour English!

I can see all IIS by http:/power ... power=Name of this machine!
If I ping it (ping power) it returns "Local Area Connection" IP!
Anyway, I can ping localhot and it returns 127.0.0.1.
But... I can add new data to the situation...
If I do ping power now it returns 184.108.40.206 (4 example), then:
I can access any page with http://power/x, but not by http://220.127.116.11/x...
I don't understand! I'm actually lost!
I believe I don't know where I can map that the Internet IP must by redirect to my "Local Area Connection" IP for any entrant http petition...
Thanks 4 your help!

Have you allowed port 80 to get through your firewall? In most cases you'll look for port forwarding settings or similar. In a Linksys dsl modem, for example, there is a port forwarding page where you map external traffic to local servers by ports.
On the server console, does http://localhost return a web page?
