Accessing Virtual Directory through domain name.
I am using IIS 6 and can access my domain root correctly. However I created a directory off of the root name "downloads" where I am allowing directory browsing. From another machine if I try to access the directory using the domain name, for example "www.domain.com/download" the directory is not found. If I try to access it using the IP address for example "xx.xxx.xxx.xx/downloads" it works fine. How can I get access through the domain name to work?
Thanks, David |

This is a DNS problem. You must make sure the domain name you're using resolves to the IP of your IIS server.

I have no problem accessing the domain which is www.cbapps.com. I just am not able to access www.cbapps.com/downloads.
Thanks, David Quote:
