Advice- 2 Sites merge into 1

Senario
Two companies have merged, while the intranet sites are being redeveloped into a single site, I need to merge the existing sites into one.

Site 1 - http://intranet.company1.com
Site 2 - http://intranet.company2.com

Result - http://intranet.company.com

So, I have
1 box winnt iis4
1 box win 2000 iis5

A new box win 2003 iis6

The new box will contain a top level web site with a couple of pages which will point to the existing sites.
But the powers that be do not want to see either of the existing url's only the new url.

So, how to go about this ??
I know I can create a couple of vertual directories, but the powers do not want to see the vertual directory names in the url path either.

Does anybody have a solution or ideas ?

Ken

There is a 3rd party equivalent to mod_rewrite for IIS, maybe that would work for you.

There may be a DNS solution, you might look in that area too.

Thanks for the reply Doug.

Not to sure about the DSN option (no experience in this area)

I've downloaded the mod_rewrite for IIS and am testing now.
