Backing up my IIS settings

Hello,

I'm trying to backup my IIS settings. I did the following.

I right clicked on my local machine > All Tasks > Backup/Restore Configuration > create backup > entered name and pressed OK.

A new entry showed up in the list.

I did a search on my computer for files with the same name as I named by backup.

I found a couple in the C:/WINDOWS/system32/inetsrv/MetaBack/ folder. There was a .MD0 and a .SC0 file.

Are these my backups? Can I copy them to a backup disc? Will I be able to import them if something happens to my server and I have to reinstall the OS and IIS?

Thanks for any help.
