Can't Access the Website from OUTSIDE My Network
Hello everyone!
First, I setup the windows 2003 server at home, with ftp and web services running. I published a dummy website also, and i can access it but only on the home network through the ip address but not from outside like from work or lab. I am behind a linksys router. I have forwarded the http = 80, ftp = 21, and remote desktop port to my ISP ip. I can acess the ftp and remote desktop from outside my home network but not the http. Second, i purchase a domain name, but i dont know how to point the domain name to my website. I know it has something to do with the name servers but I dont know what are my primary and secondary name servers as my website is on my home server or is it same as primarya nd secondary dns. Any help would be appreciated. Asad |

Some ISP's block port 80 to prevent you from running a web server on your connection.
