Coneection Problem ?
Hi, i am fairly new to IIS so apologies if this is a boring question.
I am trying to login to index.asp on a website and am getting the error :- "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80004005) [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified" The database connection string is in a global.asa file as follows :- "SERVER=MYSERVER;DRIVER=SQL SERVER;DATABASE=MYDB;UID=web_user;PWD=password;" The User "web_user" has a login on the SQL Server and has access to the Database. I think it may be a problem with drivers on the server or a setting in IIS ?, nut i`m not atall sure - Can anyone help please ? Thanks. |

First thing I'd do is visit www.able-consulting.com and look over the example sql server connection strings. I don't think SQL SERVER is a driver name.
