connecting to web site using iis
Greetings
Recently loaded iis 5.1 on my home computer; tested the web site and ftp from home computer...all is well.
How do I get someone on the internet to connect using ip address? Can I use the same address that I retrieved from ipconfig? I get the below info
Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix:
Autoconfiguration IP Address: 169.254.200.117
Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0
Default Gateway:
PPP adapter SBC Yahoo! DSL:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix:
IP Address: 65.65.114.142
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.255
Default Gateway: 65.65.114.142
I had someone type URL and could not connect. I have no firewall enabled.
Thank you for your assistance.
