Contribute Software and IIS
Are there any known issues with Macromedia Contribute working with IIS? My web developer is trying to create a 'connection key' and cannot connect to the server. The web site itself has successfully been placed on the server, but now we need the 'connection key' to work. Any suggestions?

I don't know what Macromedia Contribute is, and I don't know what you mean by 'connection key' either. So I guess I can't answer your question

There are no major known issues, we run it for all of our clients on IIS6 and have no issues.
If your connection key is not working I'd suggest you take a look at your FTP settings during key creation, most problems we experience are caused by this. Can you (remote) ftp as normal into the site? (using separate ftp software) |

tomrigg IIS6 Server setup info for contribute is pretty thin, can you point me in the right direction on FTP setup for IIS6 Like do you use FTP User Isolation? I plan to deploy Contribute3 to a simple Intranet site. ie. users have access to their dir + the root image folder etc. Any tips on FTP Permissions with the above? Googling results are almost 0 on this tipic. Cheers |
