I'm new here and I have the same problem. At first, even my computer wasn't showing and I couldn't start IIS Admin. I got that figured out since 2 services it depende on were not started. However, I cannot see the "Default Web Site" in the IIS admin window AND the WWW Publishing service is not even listed in my Services window. Here's a screenshot:
http://img47.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img47&image=iis.jpg I've had IIS running on my old PC, so I know what it should look like. I've tried reinstalling IIS 3 times with all antivirus/firewall turned off. FYI, I'm running WinXP Pro SP1. Thanks. |

Make sure you're an administrator user on the computer when you install IIS. Other than that, I've never had a problem with IIS on XP Pro or W2K Pro using NTFS
