I have IIS 6.0 installed on a Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition. I was hosting a bunch of subwebs on a website on port 80. Everything was working normally the night before. Today when I tried opening webpages, I got a cannot find server error

When I tried to administer the site using Sharepoint Administrator, I get a cannot find server error.. the url at this time is: http://...//_vti_bin/_vti_adm/fpadm...ge=webadmin.htm.

Can some one give me suggestions as to how I can make my webpages running again?

Thanks

Sorry about the bad URL (typo). The correct URL is

http://24.175.5.100/_vti_bin/_vti_a...ge=webadmin.htm

_vti folders are part of the FrontPage Server Extensions. Maybe your FPSE got corrupted somehow. Try looking around in the FPSE Administrator console

FPSE configuration

I reinstalled FPSE 2002 and created new website on IIS 6. Just to make sure I went to the following path to see whether the _vti_bin folder contains the appropriate files or not,

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\50\_vti_bin\_vti_adm.

There don't seem to be any files missing from that folder.

I am still getting the server not found error. Although, in the FPSE properties in the required fields tab, it says the following files are enabled:
admin.dll, fpadmdll.dll, author.dll, fpcount.exe, shtml.dll in the directory:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\50\isapi\_vti_adm

I have absolutely no idea why it is giving me a server not found error.

Please help me
