Do I have IIS?
A PHP application requires that I have IIS installed on my PC.
How can I determine if Internet Inforamtion Services (IIS) is running on my PC? If it's not, how do I install Internet Inforamtion Services, IIS on my PC? I am running Windows XP on my PC and I use FrontPage to develop and maintain my web site. Thanks |

IIS, at least the web server part, is shown in the XP Services as the World Wide Web Publishing Service and will display "started" if it's running.
There is a MMC for IIS in Administrative Tools, and you can use this management snapin to configure and control IIS. If you have XP Pro you can install IIS from "Add Remove Programs", "Add Remove Windows components". If you have XP Home you are out of luck, IIS isn't available with XP Home. |
