I posted this problem about two weeks ago, without very many suggestions.
I've seen about three other posts since, and all responses seem to be the same - and nothing seems to work. The quick answers to your next questions are that my firewalls, anti-virus, routers, etc etc are configured properly. I've also googled my brains out on the subject for the last two weeks. I have a laptop running IIS on SP1 like a champ. It appears that IIS on SP2 is impossible. (OEM Installed) Is there anyone who can tell me for a fact that they are sucessfully running IIS on xp pro sp2 ? |

Are you going to provide any more details or are you counting on the telepathic abilities of everyone reading?
Is the service running? What happens when you open a browser on the XP box to http://localhost? Were you an admin user when you installed IIS? Are you on NTFS? Did you turn off "simple file sharing"? Have you tried turning off your firewall (or firewalls, if that's the case)? The list goes on ... |
