The was a red error message on the Default Website icon and I cannot start the Webserver. It prompts me with a message saying that it is "unable to 'a number'". I can't remember the number. I am running WinXP and IIS5.0.

Unexpected error 0x8ffe2742 occurred
Hi! there Doug,
This was thw error message when I tries to start the IIS server."Unexpected error 0x8ffe2742 occurred". I am running WinXP Pro with IISv5.1. The Default Web Site icon had a red error message on it. Cheers Raj. P.S. Sorry I was emailing from work about my home computer. Quote:

Apache server running on port 80
Dear Doug,
Thanks for your help. I had installed Nvidia Network controllers for my DFI LAN motherboard which in turn installed Apache server. It took up the port 80 which is the default port for web servers. Cheers Raj. Quote:
