Error when running ASP
hi!
on iis6, win2k3, i cant seem to run asp. when i call an asp page i get "page cannot be displayed" error. which settings did i miss? in web service extensions, asp is already set to allowed. what else is lacking? thanks! |

I don't have W2003. Is there any other setting in the IIS service manager to enable asp other than the one you mentioned? Beyond that, in IE you can turn off the "show friendly http errors" and generally get a more detailed error message if the error is related in any way to asp itself.

Also check the file permissions if they are not correct they may throw such an error.

You may need to re-add it to the script mappings. If you go to the web site properties, click on the home directory tab, and then click the configuration button you should see a bunch of file extensions. Make sure .asp is there, if not then add it and point it to C:\WINDOWS\System32\inetsrv\asp.dll.
