Folder Mapping
Hello Guys,
I've got IIS6 configured on my Win2k3 server and its hosting a web application i'm developing. I have a large amount of media such as audio and images that will be placed onto the site by users, and for basic server managabilty i have this uploaded to a different drive to where my site root is. I need to have this media accessible for diplay on the website though, and after discussing this on another forum is was suggested that i create a Mapping for that folder. So i can continue to use the src for my images as http://www.mysite.com/images/image.jpg and yet the server is actaly drawing the media from D:\mediastore\images\production\image.jpg. Any ideas on how to do this? Thanks, Rob |

Open Internet Information Services, expand your computer, right-click your website, go to New > Virtual Directory
