Guide to IIS?
Does anybody have any good sites or any info on setting up a webserver using IIS and Windows 2000?

Any information would be a great help.

Thanks, I have IIS installed but can only access it internally.
Not had much time to look at it, probably something realy stupid that I havent set.

Did you test your website with IP address? If it works, then your DNS name is not registered properly with your service provider.

Someone told me that I should use a router, does this matter if its a single pc?

I will check the IP when I get home no access to it from work.

I have tried the system with and without the firewall running, will let you know how I get on with the IP test.

Stupid Windows XP firewall! I thought it would be something obvious.

I'm glad you got it going.

There are lots of sites with security information. Check microsoft for some security tools, www.iisfaq.com is a good site, and search google.
