Question Help!!

I'm currently running IIS5 sitting on a win 2000 Adv server. I am trying to connect to a local websites residing on the server using XML files to make call to executables, i can connect to an external server using the IP add and virtual path but when I change the path to the local server address it will not recognise the path - are their any issues connecting to localhosts

1. Can you please use subjects that are descriptive of your problem "Help!!" does not describe your problem.

2. Only post the problem once, not twice.

Now what are you entering into the address of the browser to access the local sites? Are you using Localhost or 127.0.0.1? Is the server setup to bind to the external address only? Normally IIS binds to all addresses but can be setup to bind to local or external only.

IIS not executing local app.

Sorry about the slip of the mouse click and posting the message twice.

I am using the localhost to access the local site and IIS is setup to bind to all addresses, bit of a frustating one as when I point the path to the applicatoin within an asp file to an external web server it works fine........

cheers,

m.
