Hosting Multiple sites using Multiple IP Addresses

Hey,

I have several websites running on IIS 6.0 and have decided to convert the setup over to use multiple IP addresses for several of the sites. I added the IPs in the tcp/ip properties of the nic on the server, and selected the IP from the dropdown list in IIS manager. I also have setup the appropriate host headers.

The problem I'm having is that when I go to view the websites, it returns the default IIS page. Is there some extra DNS, firewall or NAT stuff I have to take care of in order to get this working?

Am able to access the pages at say 192.168.0.5, 192.168.0.6 locally from the server now. Only problem now is resolving external requests to go to the appropriate IP. Right now every domain I have still goes to the default page!

Question ANy luck

Hi,

I am facing a similar situation & I am looking forward to host multiple websites on a single IIS...with multiple IP addresses. The objective is to assign multiple SSLs. As teh SSL port is 443, I need to assign the individual SSL to individual IPs.

Any idea on the solution?

Thanks in advance.
Regards
WC

I have 8 sites 192.168.200.1-8 set up but can only access four of them 192.168.200.1-4 - How did you set yours up so you could access all of them BTW I am running IIS 6 with multiple IP's
