how to set IUSR_COMPUTERNAME as the internet Guest Account

It wont allow me to add this user to give permission

although in the directory permission under IIS's default website, i have give permission for the Internet Guest Account to have access to the directories, some folders in ipubnet/wwwroot dont have this account set with the correct permission

ANyone can shed light on this please. the folders are new i added to the site, but wont inherit the properties

Well why can't you just add it to those folders and give it the correct permissions? What happens if you try to do this?

Also there is a permissions wizard in the IIS management console that can sometimes help set permissions for a virtual directory properly.

Just because your computer is on a domain doesn't mean you can give it permissions. On the security page when you've clicked the Add button, make sure you click the Locations button and select your computer name rather than the domain. Then you should be able to select the local account and assign permissions.
