Why http still work after applied SSL
I had applied SSL with my IIS default website:
Using SELFSSL create a self-signed cert, the command is
This may apply a self-signed cert to my IIS default website.
Then I tried (http: // 127.0.0.1 / mypage.html)
I can access without problem even warning, why?
I had thought it must raise a warning forcing me to use https instead.
If no warning or error after applied SSL, how can I verify that my SSL has successfully taken effect?
thanks a lot!

If you have installed the SSL in your domain with www or without www then you can check using https://domain.tld or https://www.domain.tld (if you have installed SSL with www).
Moreover, you can also access your site without https though you have installed the SSL certificate in your domain.
