Hello-
Is there a way to password protect directories in IIS 5.0 on Win2k Server without using Windows users? I have a client that needs around 50 usernames/passwords for a directory and the users change frequently so they need to be able to change them somehow. They said their last hosting provider ran IIS and they had some text file called webcontrol.txt that allowed them to change the users, but I can't find any documentation on this. Any info would be helpful. Thanks, -Steve |

I am not aware of a mechanism outside the windows authentication. If you do find something similar to .htaccess please post it here too!
