IIS 5.1 Not refreshing...

I have have a small problem as above, however i have tracked this problem slightly and have found that ALL files that are NOT the defult page are unaccessable...

this includes Graphics, ASP, Html, xml... whatever all files seem to be unfindable... links are correct as page displays when opening directly into browser... (ie images work ASP is shown as test, etc)

any help with this would be VERY appricated as my server my find its self flung off the balcony soon if it dosnt pick up its game.... *ahem*
