Iis 5.1

Ok, I have IIS 5.1 installed on my windows xp professional. It isn't working (which is really annoying me). When I first installed it, everything was working fine, the server, asp, everything. Then I restarted my cpu, and it stopped working and hasn't worked since. I have tried everything I can think of. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. I really need to get this server up. Below is a list of things I have tried.

• I have uninstalled and reinstalled IIS and TCP connections twice
• I have disabled and reconfigured my firewall for IIS
• I tried opening the localstart.asp using http://localhost and received a Cannot find page response
• I tried configuring my router for IIS
• I made sure the IIS and other programs that are needed were running
• I tried typing localhost, 127.0.0.1 and my computer name in the browser. None of them worked
• I tried restarting IIS several times

I searched the internet up and down for support. Can't find anything. Help would be GREATLY appreciated.

NOTE: I need the server up to test .asp files

It would help if you described what "hasn't worked since" really means.
