IIS 6.0: I can not download .java files

Hello everyone.
I have a problem with IIS 6.0 server. This problem happened suddently. I am trying to download a .java file and IIS returns the error "The page cannot be found".

For example, suppose that I click to something like this: www...site/test.java

I would expect to see the "Save file" option in order to download and save the "test.java" file on my hard disk but I get the following error message
"Page can not be found
HTTP Error 404 - File or directory not found.
Internet Information Services (IIS)"

I renamed the same java file from .java to .txt i.e. www...site/test.txt and I can download the file but if I change the extension to .java then I get this "HTTP Error 404 - File or directory not found" error.

Any ideas why IIS 6.0 does not allow me to download .java files?

What should I check in IIS in order to figure out the cause of the problem?

In IIS 6.0 log file I noticed that the error is "404 2 1260".
IIS 6.0 help says about 404.2
File or directory not found: Web service extension lockdown policy prevents this request.
Any ideas how I can I fix the problem now?

maybe you've installed something that added an IIS extension mapping for .java. Check your mappings in the IIS manager.

Ok. Solution found. I removed the .java extension entry from:
Web Site properties > Home Directory > Configuration > Application Extensions
