IIS 6.0 Up and Down
Im running an application on a multi server environment. APP and WEB on different servers. Im running into an issue currently.
Randomly IIS seems to stop taking requests. IIS itself never goes down though the service is always running. I go in and restart IIS and the issue is gone and it works right away. This is happening 1 or 2 times a day. Users will be on the system and it will stop working, ill go in a restart IIS and its back up right away. Im just confused about this issue. Any suggestions, configuration options that maybe i can change? |

Hello -
Is this happening with particular scripts like asp or asp.net or entire iis goes unresponsive .. What I mean is when you say IIS isnt responding do you mean that html etc is also not working ? Also are you running SP1 or not ? Thanks

Anything coming up in the event logs/iis logs? Has it run correctly before and only now its starting to give problems? If so what changes have been made OS/IIS/Application? Without knowing more its ard to say what could be wrong. Have a look at the following Link, it may help see where the problem is. Application Pool Health Hope this helps. Displeaser

Nothing comes up in the even logs, or the IIS logs. Looking at the article you posted i believe this could be something i can use. I would like to randomly run tests on the IIS to see if it can be connected to. If the test fails then i want to restart IIS. Have you seen something like this before?
