IIS 6 - Directory Security, Authentication - password / no images

Hi,

I need to move a website from our old web server onto our new web server. I have copied the files across, have created a new website in IIS 6, and have a problem I haven't seen before (and the people I've asked are also at a loss).

Basically, I'm being promted for a username and password when I try to browse the site - if I enter the username and password then the site is dislayed fine, including images, otherwise it displays the site minus the images.

If I go into the IIS directory security tab, click the button to edit Authentication & Access Control, and uncheck the Integrated Windows Authentication box, then it no longer prompts for a username and password, but displays the site with no images.

What is going on??! Is this something I need to sort out in IIS, or something to do with the IUSR_etc user or what? This site it not available externally - I'm just viewing it on one server from another machine within the network, as obviously I can't put the site on the new server live till I get this sorted.

I don't have IIS6, sorry I don't have any answer. Sounds like a permission problem of some form, maybe viewing the browser page source between the working and failing pages would show something in the image links that helps you figure out what's happening.

Does IUSR_etc have the read access over the images folder?
