IIS 7& IIS 6 Issues
Dear Friends
I am asking some suggestion Regarding IIS 7.Actually my organistaion is decide to go with Windows2003 server & IIS 6 or IIS 7.So I want to know some clearcut answers for some queries.Pls help me Queries ------- 1.What willbe no of approximate Hits can be handled by IIS 6 with windows 20003 server in one minute considering testing PC is a Pentium I.In windows2003 server any special edition is there for better handling of webserver 2.IIS 7 is proved product or still it is a beta one.What is general opinion about it?.Which will be better os we can use with IIS 7.Is it windows 2005 .if it is like that what will be advantage 3.What willbe no of approximate Hits can be handled by IIS 7 with windows 20005 server in one minute considering testing PC is a Pentium I 4.Security wise which is best IIS 6 or 7 with which OS Thanks in Advance Filson |

1- This is highly hardware dependent... and if it is just a Web Server, you might think about getting the Web Server Edition.
2- IIS 7 is still in Beta... very early. Rumored to be more tightly integrated with .NET. 3- Unknown, highly dependendant on hardware... are you serious about a Pentium I??? 4- Also unknown. A fully patch IIS6 on Win2K3 will probably be more secure when IIS7 is first released.
