    IIS on alternate Port

    Hi,

I am testing out an IIS website and am able to open the web page via my server local IP/langsel.htm apparently my ISP is blocking port 80 for HTTP so I am trying to set up an alternate port to forward to the web server. I have tried 8000 8008 but as soon as I make the port change in IIS, the use the URL IPort#/langsel.htm it does not open and gives error 400 or something... I've tried to stop and restart the web site in IIS and still doesn't work. As soon as I change the port back to 80 in IIS it works right away. The other thing i've noticed is if I use localhost/langsel.htm it doesn't open either yet it still works with the local ip...
can anyone provide me with some assistance on this?
    thanks.

Check your firewall settings and/or port forwards and make sure your alternate port isn't blocked from reaching IIS.
