IIS Authentication Problems
Hey,

I have a question. There is this ASP page that loads an object or somethign like that. I didn't write it it's a file from Business Objects (which aren't very technically helpful). It runs when you are logged onto the server directly, but will not run when you are trying from another machine somewhere on the network. Is this a security issue, or what? It's a total base install of IIS6 and has the default web page disabled and anohter website taking over port 80.

Any help would be great,

Sounds to me like you have a permissions problem or something like that.

If you have some more details perhaps it will help find the problem.

I have this same issue. I just installed IIS5.1 and when I go to the site it asks for a password. How can I change the permissions?

Besides hijacking someone elses topic, which please don't do in the future, you must have missed the part of my reply about "provide more details" about your problem.

My best guess is you have some permission settings wrong somewhere.

Hey ,
Check out your Security event Log and say what errors you have.Most probably that will tell you if you have any permission problems.
