IIS Authorization using BASIC and not NTLM
Hi,
I have a java client calling for a C# IIS deployed web service. The problem is that the apache-based Java client knows "BASIC" authorization, while IIS is asking for "NTLM". Does anyone know if IIS can accept "BASIC" as well, and if so how to force it? ![]() |

Open the IIS manager (in most cases from Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Internet Information Server). Look at the properties for your server, somewhere in there is the setting for NTLM or basic authentication.
