Question IIS begginner

how is it possible for me to change the URL of my site from "http://192.168.0.2/LDC" to "http://www.LDC.ca/"?

PLEASE HELP,

192.168.0.2 is my IP adress, and I am using ISS 5.0

Well, if you check http://www.LDC.ca you'll notice that it's already taken.

You need to register a domain and some Internet Hosting Provider first to be able to use a domain.

Exclamation but...

But isint it possible to make my computer its own domain? And what if I changed the name to something that has not been taken.

First you need to purchase the domain name (as long as it's available). Then you need to point the domain name to your external IP address (the one which your router gets from your ISP, not the 192.168.0.2 one) perhaps using a service such as ZoneEdit or DynaDNS (if you have a dynamic external IP). Then you'd need to open port 80 on your router and forward it to the internal IP address 192.168.0.2. Perhaps taking a look at a site like dslwebserver.com would help.
